The 19th edition of Roast And Rhyme was a resounding success, despite the heavy rainfall that threatened to dampen the spirits of party-goers.
The just concluded event, held at Jahazi Pier Munyonyo, took place over the weekend and was a celebration of music, food, and good company, and attendees were determined to make the most of it, come rain or shine.
Security was a top priority at the event, and guests were reassured by the presence of vigilant guards who ensured that everyone was safe and secure.
Early arrivals were rewarded with a dry spot to set up camp, and as the rain began to pour, vendors were on hand to provide gumboots for those with open shoes, ensuring that no one had to miss out on the fun.
The VIP section was a highlight of the event, providing a premium experience for attendees who were able to enjoy the festivities from an elevated and mud-free vantage point.
The program lineup was a hit, with Kamanzi, Steve Kays, Myk Ouma and his band, Lydia Jazmine, and Levixone all taking to the stage to entertain the crowd.
Lydia Jazmine was a particular crowd-pleaser, performing a mix of old and new songs that had everyone singing along.
She was later joined by Beenie Gunter, who was a surprise artist and his performance had the entire audience on their feet.
Levixone captivated the audience with his non-stop gospel music performance, immersing them in the realm of spirituality.
The deaf were efficiently accommodated by providing a translator who translated the music into sign language, ensuring that everyone could fully immerse themselves in the experience.
Despite the weather, guests were well-fed and watered, with plenty of food and drinks throughout the event. The aroma of roasting meat filled the air, and the sound of laughter and chatter could be heard all around as people enjoyed the company of friends and family.

The rain did little to dampen the spirits of those who attended Roast And Rhyme. It was proof of the resilience and determination of the Ugandan people, who know how to have a good time no matter what the weather throws their way.
