Singer John Blaq real name John Kasadha has expressed his dissatisfaction with the newly formed Uganda Musicians Federation leaders.
On 05th May 2023, the newly formed Uganda National Musicians Federation elected its inaugural leadership team with the interim President being Eddy Kenzo, and Shebah Karungi, Pallaso, and Juliana Kanyomozi as the first, second, and third vice presidents respectively.
Among other committee members included Finance led by Bebe Cool, research & Development – Daddy Andre, PR & Communications – Phina Masanyalaze, Special Interest Groups – Moses Matovu, Compliance & Regulation – Silver Kyagulanyi, Disciplinary Committee – Nina Rose, Chief Whip – Hanson Baliruno, Gospel – Pastor Bugembe/Levixone and Kadongo Kamu – Fred Sebata.
However, John Blaq was not impressed by the federation’s leadership, claiming they are not competent enough.
John Blaq reasoned that most of the musicians are lazy, have busy work schedules, and most of them are school dropouts with no necessary credentials to manage the offices they were assigned.
He continues by saying that in order for the federation to flourish, it must employ capable individuals to lead it, even if they are not from the music industry.
