The Uganda performing arts mourn the death of theatre legend Omugave Ndugwa Joseph who succumbed earlier this week.
The sad news of Ndugwa’s death was revealed to the public by musician and theatre Director Mariam Ndagire.
Abby Mukiibi, one of the deceased’s relatives revealed that Omugave Ndugwa Joseph has been battling prostate cancer which saw him bedridden at Kaiser Permanente sunset hospital in Boulevard California.
Prior to Henry Ndugwa’s death, he fathered very many talents who became great pillars in Uganda’s Arts industry.
He was a legendary Actor, Composer, a phenomenal scriptwriter, and considered by many the father of local popular drama in Uganda.
Omugave Ndugwa Semakula was the founder and director of the Black Pearls drama company which was aimed at promoting local talents.
The process to bring back the deceased are underway and will be followed by the burial arrangements.
