Uganda Police through a press statement has updated folks about the recent altercation between singer Bebe Cool and an officer identified as Capt. Namara.
Bebe Cool last week claimed he narrowly escaped being shot at by a drunk officer who pulled out his gun on him following a misunderstanding sparked by a car accident.
Bebe further alleged that the officer was later disarmed and locked up at Ntinda police station before he was set free by his counterparts who stormed the station and put the officers on duty at gunpoint.
Addressing the matter, Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire revealed that they’ve retrieved surveillance camera footage to establish whether a gun was drawn as Bebe Cool alleges.
6 officers who whisked Capt. Namara away from Ntinda police have been intercepted and detained at Railway Police as investigations continue.
