On 17th June 2023, Ugandans were gutted by the sad news of the Allied Democratic Front ADF killing over 45 children at Lhubiriha Secondary School in Mpondwe.
According to reports on our news desk, the ADF attacked the Lhubiriha Secondary School on Friday night killing children who were in their dormitories.
By press time, 45 fatalities had been reported, and others who sustained serious injuries were rushed to the nearby hospital for medication.
The rebels surveilled their target in the vicinity for two days, according to Maj Gen Olum, before launching the attack that claimed the lives of innocent people.
Maj Gen Olum adds that the rebels first intended to torch army vehicles, but they later changed their plans and attacked the school instead.
Ugandans, who are currently in a state of mourning, have harshly criticised the ADF’s mass slaughter of innocent children.
