Renowned musician, songwriter, and producer Daddy Andre has expressed how it has become difficult for him to release music as he feels he is a better producer and songwriter than an artist.
Ever since his breakthrough, Daddy Andre has risen through the ranks as one of the celebrated songwriters and music producers.
He released several chart-topping songs but took a break at one point and in an interview with NRG Radio Uganda, the ‘Sikikukweka’ hit maker believes his calling is mainly in helping fellow artists in the studio than singing.
Most of the times when he releases music, Dady Andre has revealed that it is out of demand from his fans who feel they need to hear him sing.
“I have been working on a lot of musicians and concentrating on bringing new artists into the industry. It shouldn’t be about Daddy Andre on The Beat and me as a writer. I love producing and composing for musicians more than singing myself. Singing is easy for me but my calling and gift is producing and writing.
I do not care about singing sometimes but it is the fans that always demand on all these platforms. So, I end up giving them a variety so that they have to choose from it,” he said.
Daddy Andre further explained the stress he goes through when he decides to write, produce, and release his music. During the process, he finds himself deleting and redoing the recordings over and over again because he feels they are not perfect at that time.

For the beat, I can work with any as long as you I’m feeling it but when it gets to composing my own song, I end up deleting because they are not always perfect. I can write like five songs in one track but keep deleting and fixing some other things. That is why I need a team that understands me to be around when working on a new song,” Daddy Andre said.
