Why Simple K Was Released Before Serving the Full 5-Year Prison Term

Last year upcoming singer Simple K real name Fred Kiggundu was sent to prison after illegally claiming the paternity of Full Figure’s son.

A few weeks back, Simple K was arraigned before the Makindye court and was found guilty of all the cases that were filed against him.

Judge Iga Adiru sentenced the upcoming singer to serve five years in prison, but the sentence was reduced by the year he spent behind coolers as investigations were going on.

Simple K, however, pleaded with the court to lessen his sentence, claiming he has learnt the hard way, and vowed not to make the mistakes again.

The upcoming singer was then given the option to pay Ugx 1M or serve his sentence. It is at this moment that Simple K’s relatives raised the money in the shortest time possible before he was sent free.
