In a recent interview with Galaxy FM, Swangz Avenue singer Winnie Nwagi was tasked to assess her position in the Ugandan music industry.
In her response, Nwagi emphasized that one’s self-rating depends on the dedication and hard work they have invested in their career.
She firmly believes that her talent, unique style, and consistent growth in the industry set her apart from her peers. Winnie Nwagi acknowledges that there are other talented female musicians in Uganda, but she believes that her hard work and dedication have propelled her to the top.
In addition to her collaborations, Nwagi’s successful singles have further cemented her status as the top female musician in Uganda. Her songs have consistently topped music charts and received massive airplay, making her a household name in the country.
Currently, Nwagi is focused on promoting her new song, “Okubye Nyo,” which she believes will further elevate her status in the industry. She plans to ensure that the song receives extensive airplay and reaches a wide audience.

While some may question Nwagi’s self-proclaimed status as the number one female musician in Uganda, she remains steadfast in her belief.
