Eddy Kenzo has come out to refute rumors circulating on social media suggesting that he was considering changing his religion in order to officially walk down the aisle with his wife Hon. Nyamutooro Phiona.
The viral rumor was shared on Twitter/X by renowned model, Doreen Kabareebe that Hon. Nyamutooro’s parents had tasked the Big Talent boss, who is a practicing Muslim and a full Hajji, to convert to Catholicism as one of the demands as their white wedding first approaches.
In an interview, Eddy Kenzo dismissed the baseless rumor, terming it as false news fabricated by people to cause chaos and drama between the two religious sects.
“It is not true. That is all propaganda. Why would they want me to change religion? They have never said anything like that. Personally, I do not see the world like everyone else. It is about faith not religions. The way you see and believe in your God,”
“People saying this have an intention of starting religious ways and they are using Eddy Kenzo and Phiona to separate people. But a sensible person will know that we all serve one God and you can love him from wherever you are,” Eddy Kenzo said.
About a month ago, Eddy Kenzo made it official when he visited Hon. Nyamutooro’s home in a secret traditional “Kukyala” ceremony accompanied by close family and close friends.
