Singer Mesach Semakula has revealed that late singer and actress Evelyn Lagu’s charity concert will happen despite her death.
On Monday 18th September 2023, Evelyn Lagu was pronounced dead after several years of battling heart and kidney complications.
Prior to her death, Evelyn was gearing up for her charity concert, which was yet to be held at Mesach Semakula’s Papaz Spot Restaurant in Makindye on 28 October 2023.
Evelyn’s charity concert was aimed at her fans celebrating her while she still lived, as well as raising money to foot her medical bills. However, she breathed her last before achieving this.
While addressing Evelyn Lagu’s death, Mesach Semakula who is currently in the USA revealed that the organizing committee of the late singer’s event had over five people including him, the deceased, Dianah Nabatanzi, Bbosa Sserunkuuma and others.
Mesach stressed that after the burial arrangements, he will engage other committee members, to see that the show is held and proceeds go towards elevating Evelyn Lagu’s son’s life.

It should be noted that Evelyn Lagu will be buried today at her ancestral burial grounds in Kalungu Masaka.
