Fik Fameica expresses his disappointment regarding the fact that more than 70% of the music industry celebrated when his concert in 2018 did not meet the expected turnout.
During that year, rapper Walukagga Shafik, also known as Fik Fameica, held his debut concert at the Lugogo cricket oval in Kampala. Despite being at the peak of his career, the concert did not attract the anticipated number of attendees.
This turn of events sparked discussions among netizens, media personalities, and fellow musicians, with many mocking the rapper for his unsuccessful concert.
In an interview on Galaxy TV’s Deep Talk show, Fik Fameica opened up about how these trolls affected both him and his career. He had believed that everyone would be happy for his success, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
Fameica observed that after his concert, people revealed their true colours by celebrating his failure before questioning what he had done to deserve such treatment.
Furthermore, he shared that since he was young, he had not realized that achieving great things would attract enemies who would envy his success.
While Fik acknowledged the existence of his detractors, he chose not to name them, as he believed it would only create further division within the industry.
