Fast-rising ghetto star, D-Star best known as Hoozambe has vented his frustration and disappointment after being left stranded at the Entebbe International Airport while fellow singer Lil Pazo Lunabe jetted ahead of a Dubai performance.
The group had been booked to perform in Dubai in the ‘Hoozambe Mu Enkudi Mu Overnight’ show at Cats Club, but Hozambee was reportedly told that the event had been called off.
According to the ‘Shifura’ hitmaker, he arrived at the airport as early as 6 AM for check-in, and Lil Pazo who he was meant to travel with, arrived at 7 PM but disappeared. On contacting Lunabe, had switched off his phone.
He later got the news that the show had been canceled at the last minute and while he was still figuring out what next, he saw Lil Pazo’s WhatsApp status updates, revealing that they were actually on their way to perform without him.
I got to the airport early but Lil Pazo and other artists got here at 7 AM but got on the plane. When we called them, they had already left the airport and they were lying that the show was canceled.
But when we saw their statuses, they were already on the plane (to Dubai). They have switched off their phones and the promoters too, are not picking up our calls. They are just playing us,” the frustrated Hozambee said in a video to his fans in Dubai. Hoozambe noted.
Hoozambe realized he had been used to advertise the show, riding on the fame of his popular song to promote the event without his knowledge.
“These fake people used me to promote their show. They just wanted to use me on their posters and sell their shows. They even changed the original poster from having the two of us as the performers, to putting Lil Pazo only as the headliner of the show. I’m asking myself when Ugandans will stop using other people? Now my Dubai fans think I’m the bad person yet it is the fake people using us,” he said.

Going by his social media pages, Hoozambe has been looking forward to performing for his Dubai fans and could not stop talking about it in his posts. Fellow musicians like Karole Kasita reached out to offer their sympathies on the missed chance.
