Events promoter Nobat Events born Norbert Twizire is facing allegations of misappropriating funds belonging to Phiona Abaasa and failing to fulfill their agreement.
Phiona Abaasa had approached Nobat after discovering that he was involved in facilitating the migration of workers to overseas job opportunities.
Initially, Nobat requested a deposit of Ugx 3M from Phiona, followed by an additional Ugx 1.5M, citing the need for further arrangements related to the travel.
Nobat had initially promised to take Phiona to Thailand for work in November last year, a commitment that has not been fulfilled to date.
Upon contacting Nobat to inquire about the progress of her travel arrangements, Phiona was allegedly met with verbal abuse, with the promoter asserting that he was above the law and had no concerns.

Phiona is not the only victim of Nobat’s alleged misdeeds. Other individuals who had also approached him for assistance in finding overseas job opportunities have come forward with similar complaints.
