The Uganda Police have confirmed arresting Hajat Kulthum Nabunya’s husband Acram Gumisiriza who is yet to sleep another night in prison.
According to the Police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango confirmed the development in a press release and revealed that Acram Gumisiriza on 10th October 2023 agreed with the complainant Mweza Remmy 31 to have a one-night stand.
Upon their arrival home, Remmy resolutely refused to enter Acram’s house, which had no lights at the moment and remained firm in her decision.
This compelled Acram to brandish a panga and threaten to end Remmy’s life if she failed to enter the house and act as per their initial agreement.

In the turn of events, Remmy lodged a threatening violence case at Katwe Police station and Acram was locked up until now.
Based on media personality Jenkins Mukasa’s submission, Remmy initially asked for Ugx 500K to drop the cases against Acram, but she later raised it to Ugx 3M upon learning that he is the husband of Hajat Kulthum Nabunya.
By press time, Acram was still behind bars, as his close friends and relatives had failed to raise the money that Remmy had asked.
