Rasto Kalenzi Arrested Over Claims That He Was Part of the ADF that Killed Children in Kasese

TikTok user Rasto Kalenzi has been apprehended by authorities following his claims that he was part of the ADF rebels who killed children in Kasese district recently.

On 16th June 2023, the  Allied Democratic Front (ADF) attacked Lhubiriha Secondary School in Mpondwe killing over 45 children and leaving others nursing serious injuries.

As the nation mourned the horrific murder of the children, a TikTok user going by the name of Rasto Kalenzi shared a video on his account claiming to have participated in the atrocity.

Kalenzi acknowledged being part of the ADF rebels that terrorised the city at the Parliamentary avenue and hinted at more attacks on the 21st of June, warning Ugandans against entering the city on that day.

His video which made rounds on several social media platforms, attracted the attention of the Uganda Police, who embarked on pursuing him to avail for information regarding the ADF.

Kalenzi, 25, was arrested earlier today in Namengo village in Buikwe district and is currently being held at Lugazi Police station.

Police claim that Kalenzi is not a boda rider, as he claimed to be on social media, but rather operates a small shop in Buikwe.

This is not the first time Kalenzi has produced such videos, just recently, he was seen claiming to be the brother of Wilson Sabiiti, the army officer who killed retired Colonel Charles Okello Engola.
