Nansana-based religious healer Sheikh Umar born Umar Kamoga was arrested and sent to Kigo Prison over child trafficking.
According to reports surrounding Umar’s arrest, he has been residing unlawfully with Habiba Namatovu for more than 11 years.
Richard Tebajukirwa of Rich Properties hence lodged a police case against Umar at Nansana Police Station.
Umar was later sent behind coolers at Kigo Prison where he has spent over a month now.
However, Umar denied charges of child trafficking, asserting that the cases were lodged against him by his best friend Richard Tebajukirwa for personal reasons.
Sheikh Umar revealed that Richard has in possession most of his property documents, and the aim of sending him to prison is to over his possessions.

The religious healer further expressed his frustration with the authorities for incarcerating him for a month without being arraigned before the court.
