Sherry Matovu, former band artist turned businesswoman, has opened up about her life following her divorce from ex-husband Thaddeus Katumba.
In an interview, Sherry shared how she embraced single motherhood and continues to build a fulfilling life for herself and her children.
“Life gave me lemons, and I made lemonade.” Sherry Matovu stressed
Aiming to be an example for fellow women, especially single mothers, Sherry is determined to show and teach the ladies that it’s possible to move forward after difficult circumstances.
She points out that many women struggle to find their footing after setbacks, but she wants them to know that they can make a living for themselves and regain control of their lives.
“There are a lot of ladies out there who have failed to move on. I want them to see that it’s never too late to start over, to move on, and to be happy.”
In addition to her journey as a businesswoman and mother, Sherry shared details about her dating life. As an advocate for keeping an open heart, she emphasized the importance of giving love another chance.
Sherry says if she is interested in someone, she definitely gives them a chance and that this attitude has helped her stay youthful and vibrant. She encourages other women to not shy away from dating and to embrace the opportunity when it arises.
“Ladies, dress up nice, go on dates, get compliments, and just smile. This will keep you looking young and vibrant like me.”
Sherry’s outlook on love is very optimistic. She says there is no limit to how many times one can try when it comes to love, encouraging women to keep their hearts open.
“I will keep giving love another chance as many times as I want.”
Sherry addressed the negativity she sometimes faces from fellow women who seem to be interested in her ex-husband. She claimed she had no intention of getting back together with him.

“I do not plan on getting back together with him. So whoever is interested in my ex-husband shouldn’t be worried about me. All I’m focusing on now is raising my children.”
