Sipapa Betrayed by Own Fingerprints and DNA Samples, Linked To 12 Other Scenes of Burglary and Theft

Socialite Sipapa alias Olim Charles has been linked to 12 other robbery and burglary cases.

On 6th September, Sipapa joined his wife Shamira in police detention following the former’s involvement in the robbery that occurred at a South Sudanese national Jacob Arok’s home.

The duo was later arraigned before the grade one magistrate at Makindye court who sent them to Luzira prison until 19th September 2022.

However, before Sipapa could appear in court for the second hearing, the Directorate of CID and the Directorate of Forensic spilled more tea when they established 12 other cases that are linked to the local socialite.

The development came to light upon Sipapa’s fingerprints and DNA samples scientifically matched with the perpetrators at scenes of crime in Bugolobi, Kabalagala, Kira road, Jinja road, Kiwatule, Ntinda and Kyanja Jomayi, among others.

During a press conference yesterday, Police Spokesperson SCP Enanga Fred revealed that the task team is arranging to interrogate Sipapa on the alleged burglaries and theft and thereafter case files will be submitted.

The Directorate of CID in close coordination with the Directorate of Forensic, have established 12 other cases that are linked to a one Olimu Charles SIPAPA. This new development arose after his fingerprints and DNA samples, were across our Databases and scientifically matched. This implies that the accused was one of the perpetrators at the respective scenes of crime in Bugolobi, Kabalagala, Kira road, Jinja road, Kiwatule, Ntinda and Kyanja Jomayi, among others.

The crimes stretch from the year 2014 – 2022. The task team is arranging to interrogate him on the string of alleged burglaries and theft and further submit the casefiles, to the DPP for legal guidance. You will be updated progressively.
