The Uganda Police has issued a press statement confirming escorting singer and politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssenatamu alias Bobi Wine to his home in Magere.
Today morning, Bobi Wine returned to the country from the diaspora where he spent several weeks furthering his political ideologies.
Bobi Wine touched down at the Entebbe International Airport at 10: AM, and he was given a heroic welcome from his devotees.
However, his return was surrounded by controversy, as he was held into custody and whisked away in a waiting Police convoy at the Entebbe Airport.
The reports that followed the development suggested that Bobi Wine had been arrested, and taken to an unknown destination.
Through a Facebook Livestream, the wife Barbie Kyagulanyi confirmed her husband’s return to their marital home in Magere, before expressing discontentment with how the security agencies held him.
In the same vein, the Uganda Police through its socials, issued a statement disregarding rumours suggesting that Bobi Wine had been arrested.
Police maintained that Bobi was successfully escorted by their security team from Entebbe to his home in Magere at around 11.20 AM, adding that he is currently at his with his family and friends.

He reached his home around 11.20 a.m. and he is with his family and friends. Disregard rumours of his arrest by propagandists. Meanwhile, business activities and movements along Entebbe Road, within Kampala and Gayaza, are flowing smoothly.
