Singer Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel has today survived being lynched by the angry Boda Boda cyclists upon knocking one of them.
According to Maj. Steven Tumwesigye, at around 8:00 AM, Weasel who was cruising his Toyota Land Cruiser V8 Reg. UBH 031 M lost control of the car before ramming into a Boda Boda rider who was waiting for his pay moments after delivering a customer.
The Boda Rider only identified as John Bosco fell into the roadside trench, only to be saved by the helmet he was wearing on his head.
The accident attracted the attention of other Boda riders, causing a commotion at the scene.
It called for military intervention to restore peace, and save Weasel from being torn apart by the unruly Boda Boda men.
A few hours later, Wesel’s car was towed together with the Boda Boda and parked at Katwe Police station where a case was filed against the singer.
It is alleged that the Good Life crew singer was high on toxic substances.
