Grenade Official urges artists with poor hygiene to stay home

Grenade Official’s real name Deus Ndugwa has expressed his disappointment with fellow artists who have made it a habit of showing up in public with poor hygiene and ridiculous outfits.

Grenade Official reflected on his poor hygiene past, asserting that he often showed up for performances and interviews dressed in tight jeans and other ridiculous styles thinking he was a fashionista.

However, with time he realized that the way he carried himself had a huge impact on his image and brand, especially among the young generation that looked up to him.

Grenade also believes that this trend is why some artists do not get invitations to some of the high-end events, as the hosts are always concerned about how they will present themselves before their corporate visitors.

“I also used to think that when I put on tight jeans and some funny clothes, I was a fashionista but it is good to know that you are a mentor with many young children looking up to you. That is why some artists are never invited to high end parties and it is not because these tycoons do not enjoy their music, but because they are dirty. They smell so bad and give a very bad image for their brand,” he said.

Grenade Official further encouraged fellow artists to work on their appearances in public as it would change people’s perception of the industry as a whole and also end the notion that most musicians are always dirty and smelly.

“In this new year, we should change our industry and this is not only about artists but everyone who is stepping out in public; do not leave your homes with your dirty hair and clothes; just stay in your homes,” Grenade Official said.
