Fast-rising singer Biswanka Derick has explained the reason why he withdrew his concert at the very last minute.
Biswanka raised dust on social media following his announcement that he would be performing on the same date that Alien Skin had selected for his concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.
In an interview, Biswanka explained that one of the reasons why he backed out was the fact that he knew the concert would flop because he had not advertised adequately. He believed that he would have a low turn-up, thus pushing it until further notice to organize himself.
Biswanka in an earlier interview, denied allegations of settling for the same date as Alien Skin with intentions of outshining him. He revealed he would give Alien Skin an exception if he approached him and begged him to reschedule his concert.
Listing it as another reason for his concert retraction, the youngster jokingly noted that Alien Skin had personally bowed down to pressure and approached him to reschedule his concert.
“Different people approached me begging me to cancel the concert. He (Alien Skin) was on my live broadcast watching me and I believe he was shaken. Him watching me that day meant that he was not settled. He over-begged me,” he said.
Alien Skin recently had his concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval and contrary to the belief of many that his concert would be a sell-out, he had a low turn-up. Biswanka compared Alien Skin’s crowd to Gravity Omutujju’s recent ‘Embaga Ya Isma Na Amina’ and Ssalongo Siraje concerts.

“They were bragging at the front but the back part was so empty to the point that you would even play football from the available space. I can compare it to Gravity Omutujju’s concert and Ssalongo Siraje,” Biswanka said.
