Reports on our news desk indicate that singer Sheebah Karungi kicked veteran singer Mamuli Katumba out of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) meeting.
Following the formation of the Uganda National Musicians Federation, its members have embarked on attending several meetings aimed at streamlining the music industry.
During the most recent meeting, veteran singer Mamuli Katumba aired his grievances with the Uganda Performing Right Society (UPRS).
According to information reaching Exclusive Bizz, Mamuli Katumba revealed that UPRS has long been robbing musicians of their money.
Shebah Karungi, the UNMF Vice President, was not pleased with Mamuli’s submission before harassing him and instructing security to evict him from the meeting.
Mamuli’s pressure level rose as a result of Sheebah’s blasting, and it took the UNMF president Eddy Kenzo’s intervention to bring the situation under control.
The development comes at a moment when a section of musicians has steadfastly refused to concur with the federation’s ideologies.
