Netizens were left in shock following reports that Betty Mpologoma threw her sister and fellow singer Phoebe Nassolo in jail over allegations that she stole their mother’s cows.
According to claims, Phoebe sold the cows and took all the money, something that blew the entire family apart, leaving their mother in the hospital in shock.
The news was first broken by politician Yiga Kisa Kyamukama, who claimed he was a friend of Phoebe and knew the family.
When Kyamukama visited Phoebe in prison, the singer revealed that the reason behind her imprisonment was not the sold cows but rather linked to a man they shared.
Phoebe claimed that she had an army man whom Betty Mpologoma tried to snatch away from her despite being married to popular producer, writer, and singer Dr. Tee.
In a phone call interview, Betty Mpologoma confirmed that her sister was indeed in jail and the incident happened early last month. She, however, denied having solely arrested her sister and claimed that the matter was a mutual agreement between the family members who had initially decided to keep it a secret.

“I’m not the one behind it but it is a family matter and we are very many; just that I’m the popular one. Everything concerning my mother, includes us all as a family, not me alone. We had to deal with her as a family because she disturbed our mother. I’m very busy taking care of my mother who fell ill after the incident and I have no time to engage in prison matters,” she said as she accused Kisa Kyamukama of spreading propaganda with an aim of tarnishing her brand.
Phoebe Nassolo is currently being detained at Kanoni Prison, in Gomba.
