Controversial city socialite Sipapa reportedly handed himself to the authorities earlier today to secure his wife Nakiyimba Shamirah’s freedom.
On Monday, Police seized Sipapa’s home and left no stone unturned in the search for the stolen items from a South Sudanese National Jacob Arok, a resident of Kawuku-Bunga.
Upon landing on the exhibits of evidential material, Police left with Sipapa’s wife Shamira and other three people to help in the investigations.
A day after Shamirah’s arrest, Sipapa made a gentlemanly move, when he handed himself over to the Police in exchange for his wife’s freedom.
Prior to his arrest, Sipapa appeared in a video clip, where he quashed claims of refusing to record a statement regarding the cases slapped against him.
Sipapa revealed that for the fact that he wasn’t summoned, there was no essence of him appearing at the Police. The city tycoon went on to note that he is an innocent man, who is so green about the allegations.

He maintained that he couldn’t seat back and look on as his wife was being deprived of her freedom, yet the person they wanted was available.
As we author this, it is still not clear if Shamirah is out of police custody.
