Canada-based Ugandan female rapper Joycelyn Tracey Keko widely known as Keko has returned to the recording booth, releasing her single dubbed ‘Light years.’
Ever since Keko lost her recording contract with Sony Music following the lackluster sales of her debut album, her music career has never been the same.
She placed her career on hold before traveling to Canada, where she attended Toronto’s Film School and graduated in 2019.
Despite not having released any new music for years, the rapper was nominated in the Best Female Rap Act category at the AFRIMMA awards in 2020.
At the start of 2022, Keko was the talk of the town, when she resurfaced but in a dire state.
After grabbing news headlines for a couple of weeks, the rapper went into hibernation, until a few days back when she took to Instagram and revealed that she has something new for her fans.
Dubbed ‘light years,’ it is Keko’s new music project. Despite not being active musically, her flow and lyrics are still fresh and unrivaled.
